QA Engineer

Currently working on Polity, which is a gaming platform, where players can choose to excel in various professions as a citizen in an open virtual world. These professions derive from popular casual games. We target worldwide (esp. Tier 1) 16+ years old lifelong gamers.

Job Summary: We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer who will manage exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.You will design and implement test processes٫ debug and define corrective actions٫ review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts). You will monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

What will you do?

• Monitor and report the logs (Client, Server, etc.)
• Check and monitor test cases of QA Testers and players
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test strategies
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities 
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Track quality assurance metrics,
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

What do we require you to have?

• Preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related fields
• Minimum a year of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
• Minimum a year of experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies and other
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Previously worked in or willing to work in the gaming industry
• Being passionate about gaming and video games
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
• Being a self-starter, who is creative and comfortable working independently, but also loves collaborating
• Being proactive and open to feedback from your co-workers
• Being eager to learn and contribute to the success of the company
• Not over the age of 27

**Office location is Kadıköy, Istanbul. This is not a remote job role.
