QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3:  the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

To provide varied and complex assistance to the Country Office.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

We are looking for interns for various support services departments (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Senior Management Team) for Save the Children Turkey CO.

Interns will be assigned to departments depending on their qualifications and departmental needs.

Interns will be responsible for the tasks assigned by the reporting lines based on each departments` responsibilities mainly for filing, documentation and they will be also assigned for operational tasks.

Other:

Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child safeguarding, code of conduct, safety and security and other relevant policies and procedures.

We are looking for fresh graduates or master students who are able to work full time basis during 5 week days.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Turkish nationality is a requirement for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Administrative Sciences, Economics, Business or related departments.
• Preferably previous working experience (including paid internships) in NGOs, private sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Turkish.
• Good attention to details and to be able to work under stress.
• Computer literate (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office) and ability to do internet based research.
• Strong organisational skills and discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Proven ability to handle challenging work load.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Desirable

• Volunteer and international experience is preferred.
