QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

PERIOD: 3 – 6 months

WORKING TYPE: Part-time (2 or 3 days per week)

JOB DESCRIPTION – TRADER TRAINEE

Trading & Origination department is part of ENGIE Global Energy Management (GEM) located in Istanbul. This department is responsible for all Power Trading activities in the Turkish market, providing services to Power plants, negotiating with counterparts structured deals and offering gas and power to industrial customers. 

ROLE:

We are looking for a Trainee who will assist both Traders and Originators mainly in coordinating sales activity and providing ad-hoc/regular analysis about the markets with respect to the global standards, ENGIE’s internal policy and international regulations.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support development of database setup for our industrial prospects
  • Assist trading activities particularly in follow up of PnL reporting and explanations
  • Prepare market analysis for South Eastern Europe markets
  • Prepare market analysis related to power plants in Turkey
  • Prepare and automate reports on power market activity

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Min. 3rd or 4th year in university
  • Engineering background is preferred
  • English and Turkish is mandatory
  • Good reporting and writing skills combined with the ability to explain results and findings with sound reasoning
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment.
  • Rigorous and methodical working style.
